2022 is here, the pandemic remains in our lives, but love persists throughout everything and marrying couples have quickly adapted to the new world situation.
Rather than ‘mega’ weddings where brides and grooms feel obliged to invite random relatives who they may have never even met, elopements and ‘tiny weddings’ are now the most popular options for clever couples who plan to get married on the Sunshine Coast.
These smaller, intimate events still include a core group of friends & family at the ceremony, and as they are much more affordable, allow couples to enjoy a holiday on the Sunshine Coast whilst splashing out on more luxuries such as amazing accommodation, beautiful food and drinks, local experiences and more.
These smaller weddings of course still need a few basic suppliers such as an amazing celebrant, hair & makeup specialist, stylist, flowers and a local wedding photographer with a style that you like however you'll still save tens of thousands of $$$ compared to a bigger wedding!
When it comes to Sunshine Coast elopement locations, you have a huge amount of choices in the local area, however ultimately it should be somewhere personal, somewhere both partners both hold dear or somewhere of natural beauty - and the Sunshine Coast offers lots of options!

Our Favourite Sunshine Coast Elopement Locations
Noosa Main Beach
Noosa Main Beach, a popular spot for both sunset and dawn ceremonies, is one of our all-time favourite elopement locations, enveloping you in a lovely bay surrounded by stunning sub-tropical foliage with white sandy beaches and sparkling blue waters. The ‘wedding groves’ offer private grassy areas for larger groups whereas many couples simply choose a spot on the beach with sand between their toes.
Little Cove, Noosa
Tucked between the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street, and the tranquility of Noosa National park, Little Cove is your own little slice of paradise in Noosa! Choose from a ‘sand between the toes’ on the beach wedding experience or perhaps a ceremony at Little Cove platform, either option will ensure amazing memories!
Sunshine / Sunrise / Castaways Beach
With miles of stunning beaches, the stretch of sand between Sunshine Beach and Castaways Beach is another popular location for smaller wedding ceremonies. Amazing at any time of day, the white sand, blue ocean and natural beach grasses give plenty of options for your photos too!
Noosa National Park
For those adventurous couples, why not get married on a clifftop overlooking the ocean at sunrise or sunset? With stunning rocky headlands, secluded bays and sandstone outcrops covered with natural wild grass and native plants, elopements within Noosa National Park provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop.
Point Perry
Point Perry is a popular headland and lookout on the Sunshine Coast, located just South of Coolum and overlooking the Coolum Bays. With amazing views from Mooloolaba to Sunshine Beach, you may even spot whales and dolphins frolicking as you exchange vows.
Sunshine Coast Hinterland Elopements
Romance and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland go hand in hand. Sweeping views, iconic scenery dotted with quaint villages, luxe accommodation and an established restaurant and venue scene ensure that your elopement is intimate and special. Noosa River
The Noosa River stretches over several kilometres from the rivermouth to Tewantin and includes beautiful sandy beaches, remote sandbanks, tree lined parks, restaurants and some of Noosa finest waterfront properties.
